Concept, Design, Direction

A devised physical theatre performance exploring the limitations of language and breakdown in communication. The piece explores discrepancies between verbal & non-verbal communication, centralized and decentralized space, and the idea of ordinary language as limiting and even obsolete. In response to the political climate of post-911 tension and disappointment with world conflict, the collapse of communication and language as we know it led to the search for a universal language of the body and its movement, which also addresses digital network technologies.
